FAQs

Are your pieces real gold?
Our pieces are made from a base material of either stainless steel or sterling sliver and have been plated with gold. Because we don't use low quality base materials like brass or copper, our jewellery won't tarnish quickly or turn green. The plating will gradually fade over time but this can be dramatically reduced with proper aftercare.

Can I wear my jewellery in the shower/water?
The short answer is yes you can. Because the base of our jewellery is made from stainless steel or sterling silver it's resistant to tarnishing. But (and this is a big but) all plated jewellery will fade over time we strongly recommend you avoid showering in your jewellery to extend it's life. The chlorine in swimming pools is also known for causing jewellery to fade more quickly.

Are you black owned?
Yes we are and extremely proud of it! DOUBLETAKE was created when our founder Alexandra couldn't find a black-owned jewellery company with stylish, pieces, that wouldn't tarnish at an affordable price point.

How do I measure my ring size?
The most common ring sizes for women are sizes 6 and 7 but you can check out our size guide for some tips on working out your ring size. We will always state what size rings our models are wearing as a reference.

Do I need to pay a customs charge?
If you are ordering from outside of the UK you may be required to pay a customs charge on your order. We have no control over this and unfortunately, we cant predict how much it will be. It will be your responsibility to pay this charge.
